Welcome to Henry County Cancer Services

The mission of Henry County Cancer Services, Inc. is to assist individuals and families struggling from the effects of cancer on their lives. Cancer Services seeks to assist the patient at their point of need. Funds raised go directly to providing medicines, medical co-pays, doctor bills, hospital bills, mileage reimbursement, wigs, nutritional supplements and Angel Food Boxes.

Henry County Cancer Services, Inc. (HCCS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has been serving cancer patients in Henry County since 2002.

HCCS is now able to return 97% of donations directly to the care of patients by managing the day-to-day administration, working with our partners and conducting fund raising efforts with dedicated volunteers.

Our partners, Moye’s Pharmacy, and Robinson, Whaley, Hammonds & Allison contribute to operational cost savings by offering discounts on pharmaceutical needs and accounting costs. We also partner with Sacred Journey, Cat’s Pajamas, Hands of Hope, Kiwanis, The Rotary Club and Henry County Commissioners. Together, we try to make a difference in a patient’s life.

Our statistics indicate that the need in the community is growing exponentially and has already outstripped our resources this year. HCCS has been receiving an average of 4-5 new requests for assistance each week. Unfortunately our lack of funds means we are only able to care for twenty-three (23) patients at the present time.

The stark reality of the situation is that without a fairly substantial increase in donations we will be unable to care for our current patients much longer and certainly are unable even now, to accept any new patients. Our waiting list is long and a source of distress.

• 2009 care and support: 33 patients
• 2008 care and support: 42 patients
• 2007 care and support: 26 patients

Angel Food Boxes:

• 2009, 193 boxes
• 2008, 152 boxes

Cancer Services continues to partner with Georgia Cancer Specialists in Stockbridge in an effort to take referrals directly and thereby reach patients needing assistance quickly.
